Born in 1987 in France, Christophe Alvarez studied piano in the Conservatory of Nice where he received the Piano Prize, Theory, Chamber Music, and Composition prizes by unanimous agreement.
Then, he studied with the concertist Désiré N'Kaoua in the Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot of Paris , where he was awarded in 2007 the Diplôme Supérieur d'Exécution of piano. The same year, he also graduated his musicology Licence degree in the Paris Sorbonne University .

He performed solo recitals in France and abroad in festivals such as the Festival Chopin 1810-2010 of Leszno, the Festival Carré d'As , the Festival C'est pas Classique , the Festival les Rendez-vous du Piano , the Festival of Kersaint-Landuvez , the Festival Musiques au Monastère , the Estivales of the Alpes-Maritimes , the Festival Crescendo , the Festival of Ande , or the Festival Flame .
His recent performances in the renowned festivals Les Nuits du Suquet and Menton received high success and press echo : “ the festival true revelation ” Aurore Busser, “ great refinement and lightness ” Scenes Magazine, “ fluidity and elegance, poetic virtuosity ” Nice-Matin...

Christophe Alvarez was also invited to play as soloist and with orchestras in great concert halls such as the Grimaldi Forum of Monaco, the Warsaw Philharmony , the Tivoli Concert Hall of Copenhagen, the Teatro Civico of Vercelli, or the Salle Cortot of Paris.
He played with orchestras such as Poznan Chamber Orchestra , Orkiestra Nova , the Symphony Orchestra of Cannes PACA , the CRR Nice Symphony Orchestra , under the direction of Philippe Bender, Marcin Sompolinski, Marius Derewecki, or Philippe Dulat.
He recorded live in October 2010 in Poland the two piano concertos of Chopin with the Poznan Chamber Orchestra .

Interested in musical composition since his youngest age, he writes symphonic works and musical pieces for films. He wrote music for orchestra for several french long movies, such as L'Ame Sombre , Code d'Honneur , and Irina . He is actually working on three cinema halls long movies productions coming in 2011 (Sacrifice , Rouget le Braconnier and Un Amour de Brahms ).
